knowledge Management - A Challenge...

[Johannesburg, 23 February 2010] - Knowledge Management (KM) has long been a key component to effective organisational content management. Just like unstructured information, knowledge is one of the most important and determining assets in global companies today.

KM can be defined as the process through which an organisation generates value from its intellectual and knowledge-based assets. In recent years, KM has become known as a critical success factor for longevity in large organisations.

This is due to the various demographic and economic factors such as an aging workforce, logistical globalisation, unstable economic climates and outsourcing. These factors require that organisations are more aggressive in retaining their critical knowledge and are better able to transfer knowledge throughout the workforce.

PRESS RELEASE ISSUED BY NOKUSAEI

[Johannesburg, 28 July 2009] - NokusaEI and Cideon have joined forces to form a partnership to enhance document management possibilities for SAP clients.

Enterprise content management has come to the forefront of many companies' strategic objectives. The services and products supplied by this collaboration make it possible to bring ECM concepts to workable and pragmatic solutions that can effectively be used by the entire workforce.

One of the biggest challenges faced by companies is how to make engineering documents available to all in an organisation. The most appealing outcome of this product solution to most companies is the fact that it can automatically convert all documents and make a standardised format (PDF) available to the entire organisation for general viewing.

TURN PAPER FORMS INTO ADOBE FORMS

NOKUSAEI
PRESS RELEASE ISSUED BY NOKUSAEI

[ Johannesburg, 1 June 2009 ] - Companies in today's day and age are constantly faced with the challenge of increasing profitability and efficiency while reducing operating costs. All this, while still maintaining customer satisfaction and ensuring governance and compliance. What companies tend to ignore is the fact that paper-based forms are keeping them back and increasing the cost of doing day-to-day business!

Paper-based processes have limitations and are costly to maintain. Costs are increased due to data redundancy and the manual intervention required to capture the data into business systems. Other cost factors are storage costs and production/printing costs. Some companies have “hundreds” of forms to manage, these are often managed alongside the business processes and the tracking of the forms within each departmental business process is a nightmare!
